Frankenstein's Monster

This very rare piece was never mass-produced, and only two exist that I know of. On the first one, the inside glaze is a beautiful greenish-white, and the face is the same color as the body of the mug. On the other, the inside glaze is a dark blue, and the face is a lighter color than the mug body. This one I "pointedup" the letters, neckbolts, and lightening, with white-out. Both are hand-scratched "JRUMPH" on the side near the bottom.

I was over at RUMPH'S! one afternoon picking up a set of his planters (ZUNILL, THE MAIDEN, ZOLTHAR, THE WIZARD, and BELIAL, THE DEMON!), and Jim picked something up off the counter and said "You'll like this!" Of course I did. I LOVED it! "It" was the Frankenstein Monster Mug. I told him I'd like to buy it, but he insisted on gifting me with it. This was about the time I was doing "Castle Dracula", and I was inundated by my old friends the Universal Monsters once again. So I insisted on buying the other one on the bench, finished darkly in contrast to the gifted one. I had both mugs for a number of years. Now Kelly Mann is the proud owner of the dark version of the mug, and THE RUMPH Webmaster is the proud owner of the other one. And worthy proud owners they are, indeed!
