THE HANGOVER TANKARD

The outside depicts the face of a guy with a hangover. On the other side is the words "THE HANGOVER." The inside has a pink elephant smiling up at you. This piece comes in two versions: 1) The outside has a semi-gloss finish with a brown handle, and the ice bag is a lighter brown 2) Has a blue handle, the same color as the inside of the mug, and the ice bag is a dark brown. Marked "© RUMPH 1971" on the bottom. Measures 5.5" tall, 5.75" wide, and 5.5" deep. *Some appear to come with a white elephant, but actually they are just faded pink elephants.

I recently acquired my first Rumph, the brown-handled semi-gloss finished version of The Hangover tankard at a peddlers fair in Coarsegold Ca.. I did notice one significant detail that wasn't mentioned in the "item description". This was the fact that the mug has a slumped base. It sits on 2 different axises, when it is empty it leans toward the handle side of the mug which makes the top rim of the mug level all the way around, when full it leans away from the handle side causing the rim to be crooked. Due to this feature it has another added drunken effect. When you fill the mug within about a quarter of an inch from the top and set it down it will shift to it's crooked position and spill a little of your beverage.
