9" long, Very realistic baby seal. White porcelain, white glossy glaze, black details. On the bottom - and it's very hard to see in white on white, but it says Mobius 1979 and below, Rumph. Posed as Jesus on the cross to underline their innocent slaughter. Perfect condition.

I was leaving on a trip and Jim Rumph wanted to give me something to give to my Mom but there wasn't much that wasn't sort of scary, so he snatched this up off a table and handed it to me. No idea what it was created for.

Artist Jim Rumph made these adorable creatures in the late 70's under his company "Tri-Mobius Inc.". This particular baby seal is signed by the artist on the verso "JRUMPH 1979 Tri Mobius Inc." (signature of Jim Rumph was rare for these pieces).
