It was displayed in headshops and the like in the early 70's

These were not actually produced as bookcases, but rather as display racks for a company which sold a line of men's and women's colognes marketed in nymph and satyr bottles designed by Rumph.

Sold in Mpls in mid 70's out of the Spencer Gift stores, along with mugs, etc.

The only Rumph altar painted in color in existance, to my knowledge. Photos show front and back.
This work (unpainted) was featured on T.V's "Power Rangers" and "Beyond Bizarre"

the runes above Belial the winged demon (top center) translate as "Love", according to the translation guide in the Rumph catalog of '75.

I WON A RUMPH MYSTICAL SHELF ON EBAY.THE SELLER FOUND IT IN AN ATTIC IN AN ANTIQUE STORE IN PITTSBURG THAT WAS GOING TO BE GUTTED OUT..AT FIRST IT WAS GOING TO BE USED FOR TARGET PRACTICE BY THE CONTRACTOR..THE WORKER PURCHASED IT AND KEPT IT FOR THREE YEARS..SOLD IT TO ME TO SO HE COULD FIX A HARLEY..AWESOME..
