The Skull of the Daemon Rumphapithecus
AKA: Skull Planter
The moss in the eye socket was placed there by Rumph after the piece was finished. The blue foil in the other socket is just there to keep the dirt from falling out.

"This significant find by Professor Rumph during his '37 Grand Expedition to Egypt marks archaeological history, as heretofore no known such species has been discovered on this planet. Since it was found at the feet of the magnificent Sphinx there is speculation of possible mystical connections between the two. The occult scrimshaw on the skull are thought to be symbols used in prehistoric Paleolithic magical rites.
"The odd combination of fangs, protruding forehead and abnormally large cranium volume are incredible, and Dr. Rumph maintains this phenomenon is impossible within the growth of modern man as we know him, hence the wildest conjectures are to be entertained, even as far as visitors from another world leaving this alien remnant behind!" I believe Rumph took part of the name for this creation from my stage name, "Daemon". We were friends and he was my guest at the Magic Castle in Hollywood one night where he heard the name and saw the way I spelled it. Added by Harry ''Bear'' Weintraub from San Dimas, CA on 06/27/2004
